Celebrating 30 Years of Dedication: Honouring Tony Burns at ASG King & Fowler

This year marks a special milestone at ASG King & Fowler as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tony Burns, a dedicated team member in our de-masking and inspection department. Tony’s three-decade journey with the company is a testament to his commitment, hard work, and passion for quality—a reflection of the values that have defined ASG King & Fowler since its founding in 1887.

King & Fowler has deep roots in Liverpool, building a legacy of excellence over 137 years in the field of surface treatments. The firm has earned a reputation for delivering the highest quality standards, a tradition upheld by our talented technical, quality, and production teams, including those like John, who bring a wealth of experience to their roles. Today, our team proudly holds prestigious industry qualifications, such as NDT Level III, that showcase our expertise.

Tony’s career with ASG King & Fowler spans a period of remarkable evolution for the company. Over the years, we have obtained a wide range of OEM and industry approvals, including Nadcap and AS9100 certifications, further solidifying our position as a leader in surface treatment services. As a key contributor to this success, Tony has seen first-hand the transformation of our processes and capabilities.

To enable rapid growth and maintain our world-class standards, ASG King & Fowler has made significant investments in training and appraisal programs, ensuring our workforce continues to develop their expertise. Tony has been a part of this journey, helping to drive the high quality that our clients have come to expect. His dedication has played a role in helping us remain at the forefront of industry advancements.

A recent highlight of Tony’s time with ASG King & Fowler has been the installation of our major new investment: a £1.35 million tartaric sulphuric anodising line. This state-of-the-art technology represents a significant step forward in our capabilities, and Tony has expressed pride in witnessing this milestone. The new anodising line is just one example of the ASG Group’s commitment to continuous improvement, which also includes our involvement in the Collaborate to Innovate (C2i) project alongside the University of Liverpool and DNAagile, aimed at driving world-class manufacturing standards.

As we celebrate Tony Burns’ 30 years with us, we reflect on the dedication and hard work that have been essential to our growth and success. Tony’s contributions have helped shape ASG King & Fowler into the respected industry leader it is today, and we look forward to his continued impact as we strive to push the boundaries of quality and innovation in surface treatments. We thank him for three decades of excellence and look forward to many more years of success together.
