ASG Group are in support of National Apprenticeship Week 2025
ASG Group is reinforcing its growing reputation as a leading investor in aerospace apprenticeships. In a strategic move to foster future growth and innovation, we are doubling down on our commitment to apprenticeships across our UK sites and at our facility in Germany as we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2025.
Apprenticeships at ASG Group are a cornerstone of our long-term success strategy. Jason Aldridge, Managing Director of ASG Arrowsmith, highlights, "Investing in apprenticeships is an investment in the future of our industries. They bring fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and a hunger to learn – qualities that are crucial for the dynamic and evolving nature of our sectors. Working in partnership with the leading institutions such as MTC at Ansty Park helps us develop a talent pipeline that will help us serve our world-class customers for years to come."
ASG Group views apprenticeships as a means of embedding a unique agile culture within the organisation. Aldridge adds, "Apprenticeships contribute to a diverse and vibrant workplace culture. They bring in new ideas and challenge the status quo, fostering an environment of innovation and adaptability." As the sun sets on the careers of a large number of engineers in the sector over the next two years, this is a crucial investment for the group.
ASG Produmax in Bradford are proudly supporting National Apprenticeship week, engaging in a range of community activities including visits and talks in local schools as well as running their 2025 Apprenticeship Open Day on 24th February. The event will enable prospective engineers the chance to speak with current and former apprentices and the chance to tour our state of the art manufacturing facility.
From across fur manufacturing footprint in the UK to ASG Group headquarters in Stockport, we are embracing the ethos of National Apprenticeship Week and celebrating the future of the sector. Simon Weston, Group Managing Director, underscores the role apprentices play in fuelling innovation and progress within the industry.
"Apprentices are the heartbeat of innovation and progress in our sector. They bring fresh perspectives, boundless energy, and a hunger to learn," states Weston. ASG Group is leveraging National Apprenticeship Week to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to cultivating the leaders of tomorrow.
Our investment in apprenticeships is not confined to the UK. ASG Bremerhaven, located at the mouth of the Weser to the Wadden Sea in Germany, is actively participating in this initiative, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing talent on an international scale and continuing to create opportunities for young skilled engineers in Bremerhaven.
ASG Group’s holistic approach to apprenticeships extends beyond technical skills. Our programs are designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, combining hands-on training with mentorship initiatives. Aldridge remarks, "We aim to cultivate well-rounded professionals who are not just experts in their field but also future leaders capable of steering the course of our industries."
ASG Group’s steadfast commitment to apprenticeships is a testament to the group’s dedication to shaping the future of industries across borders. We are investing in apprenticeships and we are investing in a culture of continuous growth, innovation, and global collaboration that promises to create a positive future for ASG Group.
